All of America, Am I
Location: Wisconsin
Runtime: ~17:42 m

Wisconsin Farmers Union

All of America, Am I is a short documentary exploring how industrial markets and corporate consolidation shape the daily realities of farmers, rural businesses, and their communities. Through grounded storytelling and intimate interviews, the film moves from a high-level look at market forces to the lived experiences of four Wisconsin agricultural operations: Driftless Seed Supply, the Breitenmoser dairy farm, Meadowlark Organics, and Driftless Tannery.

Narrated by Wisconsin-based author Michael Perry, the film humanizes complex economic pressures, revealing both the challenges and the inspired actions farmers are taking to reclaim resilience, fairness, and local control.

At its heart, All of America, Am I is a call to action, inviting viewers to engage with and become active members of Wisconsin Farmers Union in the fight for strong rural communities and thriving family farms. This film was brought to life with support from a Farm Aid grant.

The Best of Us

The Best of Us is a feature documentary that exposes a growing national crisis: the sharp decline of volunteer firefighters—who still make up 70 percent of the United States fire service. Set in the rural town of Cornell, Wisconsin, the film follows the Cornell Area Fire Department over two years as it undergoes a pivotal leadership shift.

Veteran fire chief Denny, who served the department and his community for 50 years, prepares to hang up his helmet. As he passes the torch to a new generation, the film captures a firehouse navigating the challenges of recruitment, retention and relevance in a fast-changing world.

Directed by Cornell-native Benjamin Cook, The Best of Us offers rare, on-the-ground access to the lives of volunteer firefighters—unsung heroes who battle blazes, train relentlessly and protect their neighbors while balancing jobs and family life.

Through screenings across the country, The Best of Us has sparked conversations and galvanized support for local fire departments nationwide.

At a time when narratives are noisy, the most powerful stories are grounded in reality.

We work with organizations that don’t just want attention; they need credibility.

[ LETTER TO YOU ]

“Every day I step into someone else’s life—their work, their pressure, their way of doing things. What we do is simple: we tell stories rooted in real work and the people behind it.”
